If there are going to be lower paid people doing the work to keep higher paid people’s lives functioning, those people all need affordable homes. Once they’ve left to live in cheaper areas, who does the work? And Yorkshire compared to London for your kids upbringing? Lucky much?! However, maybe a little more help with socialising may be good too- a little leaflet showing local help, maps, support groups etc. Not a massive effort but could be a massive help to someone feeling isolated.
