Jon Snow’s resurrection on the show was a God knew my heart needed love so he sent me my Grandkids shirt. I think in the books he will be resurrected accidentally, perhaps through a combination of magical acts. The kiss of life from Mel, Shireen’s burning, Weirwoods, Bran and BR, and Ice, seeing as they are at the Wall. The important aspect saving Jon’s livelihood is that he Warged Ghost prior to his death. His soul essentially is not dead. Yet, it is trapped in the underworld and needs to be brought back. This is what makes Jon special.
