Sondra Johnson Joanne T Smida did anyone ever tell you a good author makes good money on his/her books and both Obamas have had very successful books. They were both successful lawyers before entering politics. Crazy Kentucky cat lady shirt – books, speaking engagements, Netflix and other appearances. I have no problem with him making money off his time in office after he’s no longer running the country. Same with Trump – I wouldn’t care if, after his presidency, he promoted his properties as meeting sites, etc. But he and his children aren’t waiting- everything they do is to enrich themselves, often to the detriment of the country. The Obamas were gold the year they left the WH, people pay large sums of money to listen to them speak, documentary TV deals pay more millions.
